Water-based solutions for attractive packaging

Dear Reader,

During these challenging and uncertain times, I hope this newsletter finds you healthy and safe. Rest assured that we are doing our utmost to support you, whether we are working from our offices or homes or in our production plants – and we will continue to do so.

We were very much looking forward to meeting many of you, our partners and customers, at Interpack 2020 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Now that the fair has been postponed to 2021, we will be sure to stay in touch with you in other ways, for example via this newsletter. So let’s dive right in: here is our latest news for you.

These days ethanol and other industrial alcohol solvents have become harder to come by for the printing industry. Have you considered that water-based printing inks could be part of the solution? Our Joncryl® FLX water-based resins are just as effective as solvent-based products in enhancing the appeal of flexible packaging. What’s more, we offer a range of Joncryl® resins to improve the performance and to enable cost-effective formulation of water-based inks for paper and board. If you want to reduce your carbon footprint even further, our Joncryl® Biomass Balance products can help.

Another exciting new development is our heat-seal binder Joncryl® HSL 9055, which is ideal for low-temperature sealing applications. Finally, we cordially invite you to check out a selection of additives that will give you greater freedom in formulating inks and coatings for sustainable packaging.

Kind regards from me and our whole Printing & Packaging team – we are confident that together we will weather the challenges ahead.

Stay safe and take care!
