BASF increases defoamer capacity at its Dilovasi plant in Turkey

BASF, a global leader in the supply of additives to the coatings industry, has announced the expansion of defoamer capacity at its Dilovasi plant in Turkey. The new production line increases the company’s capacity on site, allowing a better response to rising demand for high-performance Foamaster® and Foamstar® products in South-East Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

BASF is now offering its UV acrylic hotmelt acResin® with a cradle-to-gate product carbon footprint (PCF)1 of zero kg CO2e/kg2. The new products acResin® ZeroPCF A 260 UV, A 250 UV and A 204 UV are identical in quality and properties to their conventional counterparts.

New Licity® grade with improved properties optimized for anodes with a silicon content exceeding 20%

BASF has extended its series of Licity® anode binders for Li-ion battery manufacturing. The second-generation styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) binder Licity® 2698 X F facilitates the use of silicon contents exceeding 20%. In addition to the established properties of the Licity® product family, this binder enables higher capacity, increased number of charge/discharge cycles and reduced charging times.

Uzin Utz and BASF cooperate on climate protection

Saving CO2 together – this is the motto of the cooperation between the Uzin Utz Group, a full-range supplier of flooring systems, and the chemical company BASF SE. The driver for more climate protection and sustainability is BASF's biomass balance approach. This is because the Ulm-based construction chemicals manufacturer purchases basic products from BASF that have been produced using renewable raw materials according to the certified biomass balance approach.
